GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A Nevada couple was sleeping in their RV at a Nebraska rest area just east of Grand Island, when the RV was a hit by a drunk driver, shoving it into a nearby parked semi-tractor trailer and causing more than $20,000 in damage, reports the Grand Island Independent.
Elizabeth Deon, 72, of Gardnerville, Nev., suffered a broken shoulder blade. Her husband, 80-year-old Joseph Simon George Deon and the driver of the semi-tractor trailer, 65-year-old Thomas Blair of Yakima, Wash., were both uninjured, reports the Grand Island Independent.
Hall County Sheriff's Deputy Jessica Hoback said an unoccupied 1997 Mazda pickup was found at the scene still crashed into the RV, reports the Grand Island Independent.
