New Zealand: Campgrounds complain of freeloaders

(Jan. 6, 2017) -- Frustrated campground owners have labelled some freedom campers as "common thieves" and "freeloaders" after finding them sneaking on to their grounds to use their facilities.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand — Frustrated campground owners have labelled some freedom campers as “common thieves” and “freeloaders” after finding them sneaking on to their grounds to use their facilities.

Wellington Top 10 Holiday Park owner Allen Levin said campers parked up outside his campground in Lower Hutt and sneaked into its showers and toilets in the small hours of the morning, all while avoiding campground fees.
