Winnebago recalls 5 RVs for incorrect GAWR information

WASHINGTON — Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2015 BUS28WC and BUS28SH transit buses. Based on the seating capacity of the vehicle as equipped, if fully loaded, the vehicles may exceed the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and/or the gross axle weight rating (GAWR) limitations indicated on the certification label.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”

Remedy

Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will reduce the seating capacity of the bus, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1.641.585.3535.
