Winnebago promotes Honsey to general manager

FOREST CITY, Iowa – Winnebago Industries, Inc. announced the promotion of Richard Honsey to the position of general manager.

In his new position, Honsey is responsible for assembly operations including chassis weld, motorhome assembly lines, panel lamination, paint line, metal stamping, the Lake Mills Class B production facility and the Shipout facility.

Honsey, 54, is a 31-year veteran of Winnebago. He joined the company in 1984 as a production supervisor in the chassis prep area, and has worked in various production management positions since that time. Honsey served most recently as production manager on Line 2 of the motorhome plant. He has been promoted to this position following the recent retirement of Terry Rodberg.

“Rich has a diverse background, having worked in many of the production facilities he will now manage,” said Daryl Krieger, Winnebago vice president of manufacturing. “His wealth of experience will be very beneficial as he leads our manufacturing operations forward.”

Honsey is a graduate of Emmons High School in Emmons, Minn., and the Albert Lea Area Technical College, Albert Lea, Minn.  A native of Emmons, he currently resides in Forest City.
