Winnebago announces 2015 Apollo rental program

ATLANTA, Ga. — Winnebago Industries announced it had entered into an agreement for 2015 for the sale of motorhomes to a recreation vehicle rental companies, Apollo Motorhome Holidays.

Apollo, an international rental provider, has agreed to purchase over 500 of the iconic Winnebago motorhomes to provide unique travel and vacation experiences for its customers within the U.S.

“Due to the great success of the program with Apollo last year, we are pleased to announce that the relationship will continue in 2015,” said Winnebago Industries Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President Randy Potts.

“Winnebago’s recognizable name, high construction quality standards, and premium resale value all provide great value to Apollo for their U.S. rental business. Our Winnebago rally grounds area also provides a perfect staging site for the delivery of these units. We believe the rental market provides a great opportunity for people looking to experience the RV lifestyle and create future RV owners. The 2015 sale to Apollo is structured differently than last year, as there is no repurchase obligation to Winnebago. Based on the planned delivery schedule, we will ship approximately two-thirds of these units in the third quarter of Fiscal 2015 and one-third in the fourth quarter of Fiscal 2015. We are pleased that the program last year was a win-win for both Winnebago and Apollo and welcome the opportunity to provide the Winnebago motorhome experience to new entrants in the RV lifestyle through Apollo’s rental program.”
