BURLINGTON, Iowa — Winegard, in antenna design, development, and manufacturing, showcases its Rayzar Automatic, an automatic HD TV antenna that scans for all available local broadcast channels.
This antenna is for RV enthusiasts who want to enjoy programming as well as local news and weather, according to the release. Winegard will unveil the Rayzar Automatic at The National RV Trade Show 2014, South Wing Hall 1A, Booth #166, Dec. 2 to 4 in Louisville, Ken.
The Rayzar Automatic external hardware searches for live, local signals, while an LED wall plate inside the RV illuminates all locations where TV signals are available. The antenna positions itself automatically to ensure maximum channel availability. However, there is a manual override option that allows the user to look for a specific broadcast channel.
The Rayzar Automatic is designed and manufactured at the company’s Burlington, Iowa, manufacturing facilities. Combined with Winegard’s Surface Mount Technology, the Rayzar Automatic’s low noise amplifier provides signal strength for picture quality with little-to-no pixilation or picture loss, according to the release. The Rayzar Automatic pulls in both VHF and UHF channels.
The Rayzar Automatic measures 15.5 inches in diameter by 7 inches high, weighs 4.5 pounds, and is easy to install with a simple coax hook-up, the release noted.
A dome houses the technology and protects the hardware from shock, vibration, high humidity and extreme temperatures.
The Rayzar Automatic comes in black or white for $399 USD at Camping World Super Centers and RV dealerships nationwide. It is expected to begin shipping mid-December.
