WI: Beloit dealer asks for help in finding missing man

BELOIT, Wis. — Mark Finnegan, owner of Finnegan RV and co-founder of Vet’s Roll, is asking RV dealers to post a notice in the parts stores and service departments in an attempt to find a veteran who has been missing since  Jan. 3.

“The Wisconsin Department of Justice issued a Silver Alert for 84-year old Stuart Austin, of Beloit, who was last seen Jan. 3 in Madison as he was preparing to head back to Beloit,” said Finnegan. “Since we first started to share this, there have been more than 600,000 views and 12,000 shares on the VetsRoll Facebook page and the Wisconsin National Guard is also involved.

For details and updates, visit the VetsRoll Facebook page.

“Keep in mind, if the situation is possibly criminal, then the Wisconsin license plate number may be invalid due to possible stolen plates being put on the car, so look for a white Lincoln MKS with no sunroof, said Finnegan.

He can be reached 24/7 at 608.207.8319 or by email at Mark@VetsRoll.org,

“Time is now critical. Someone out there knows or may have seen something,” he said.

  1. Thanks Greg…the Lincoln MKS is a 2013 model with no sunroof. His deceased wife has family in Arkansas and her birthday would have been this coming Sunday (Jan 15). Sometimes people with dementia (although Stuart’s is early stages) can resort to traveling to past memories.
