Thor Industries, the world’s largest RV maker, announced Friday it would acquire the family-owned Jayco Inc., a Middlebury-based manufacturer, for $576 million. But little will change for employees when they return to work Tuesday after the holiday weekend, including the management team at Jayco.
“We’ll continue to stay active as we have over the last 48 years,” Derald Bontrager, Jayco president and chief executive officer, said. “It’s going to be seamless for our customers, our dealers and our employees.”
