Walorski warns of potential steel tariff impact on RV industry

(Feb. 15, 2018) -- Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) worries Trump's plan to level the playing field for American industry - which may include tariffs for imported steel and aluminum -- will run flat with RV manufacturers in her state.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump is gearing up for a trade fight on behalf of metal manufacturers.

Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) worries Trump’s plan to level the playing field for American industry – which may include tariffs for imported steel and aluminum — will run flat with RV manufacturers in her state.

Walorski said, “That would really slow the momentum down in what is a booming industry in the RV industry, the boating industry, all the manufacturing all of it that uses both steel and aluminum.”

  1. Worried it may slow down the industry???? Then do it quickly as the industry needs to slow down. Maybe slower they will add some quality control.
