WA: Hundreds of thousands spent to dispose unwanted RVs

(Nov. 2, 2018) -- The City of Seattle is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money to tow and dispose of unwanted RVs. Many see the expenditures as symptom of City Hall that doesn't have its priorities straight.

SEATTLE, Wash. — The City of Seattle is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money to tow and dispose of unwanted RVs. Many see the expenditures as symptom of City Hall that doesn’t have its priorities straight.

It’s also emblematic of what’s been called the RV shuffle, where street campers to stay way beyond the 72-hour limit to park, move around and in some cases see their RV impounded, sold at auction and back in the street.
