Thieves strip VW camper van before family vacation

(Aug. 24, 2016) -- A Southport man has been forced to postpone a family holiday to the sea-side after his VW camper van was vandalized.

LONDON, England — A Southport man has been forced to postpone a family holiday to the sea-side after his VW camper van was vandalized.

Alister Sainter was set to take this three grown up children to Weston-super-Mare for the Bank Holiday weekend in his camper van, which is nicknamed Joppie.

The 80s van, which was parked on St Paul’s Road, was vandalized on Sunday night. Thieves stole the lights, grills and iconic VW badge.
