Thetford acquires Nova Kool

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Thetford Corporation announced that it has acquired Nova Kool Manufacturing, a maker of refrigeration products for mobile and off-power grid applications. The terms of the purchase were undisclosed.

Based in Coquitlam, B.C., Nova Kool manufactures more than 25 distinctive products for the RV, marine and truck markets. Its products include AC/DC and DC refrigerators and freezers in single-door, two-door, side-by-side and upright configurations.

“Nova Kool is another great addition to the Thetford family of companies,” CEO Stephane Cordeille said. “There are many synergies that make it an ideal fit with our current corporate family. It is an established, global company that manufactures mobile refrigeration products that are supplied to our same markets, and we share the same focuses of quality and exceeding customer needs.”

Cordeille said there will be no changes to the Nova Kool organization.

“It’s business as usual for Nova Kool,” he said. “It will operate independently – with its same management team in place – and as a separate business.”

“We’re excited to join forces with a true RV industry leader like Thetford,” Jim Werner of Nova Kool said. “Joining the Thetford team is a great opportunity to grow our business and build on our successes.”

“This acquisition is a very positive move for us,” Cordeille said. “Thetford is an organization that will continue to grow through innovative product development and the pursuit of potential acquisitions.”
