SylvanSport adds Sztykiel as management advisor

BREVARD, N.C. — Mobile adventure gear maker SylvanSport announced that John Sztykiel, former President and CEO of Spartan Motors, will be joining the team as a management advisor.

John Sztykiel joined Spartan Motors in 1985 as the director of marketing for the company’s diversified products group before being promoted to executive vice president and then to vice president of sales. In 1991, Sztykiel became president and chief operating officer of Spartan Motors, in 2002 Sztykiel became CEO and lead Spartan through a period of growth before retiring as CEO in February of this year, a release from the orgazniation stated.

“Transforming products, unbelievable opportunity, the great outdoors…this sums up my joy and outlook in partnering with the SylvanSport team,” says Sztykiel. “I look forward to working with SylvanSport as they expand their reach of the GO and GO Easy, two dynamic, mobile adventure gear products.”

“Bringing John (Sztykiel) on board with SylvanSport is a natural fit with his creative energy and background and couldn’t be better timing,” says SylvanSport President and CEO Tom Dempsey. “We’ve been steadily expanding our dealer network, both domestically and internationally, and are excited for John to join us. We align culturally and his demonstrated transformational growth and wisdom, in a variety of automotive-related markets, will be invaluable as we move SylvanSport to the next level.”

SylvanSport stated it is looking forward to 2016 and their new relationship with John Sztykiel.
