Spartan honors top suppliers at conference

CHARLOTTE, Mich. — Spartan Motors Inc. hosted dozens of key supply chain partners at its 15th Annual Supplier Conference, held near the company’s headquarters in Charlotte, Michigan.

During this event, Spartan’s Corporate Director, Procurement and Supply Chain Management Luis Silva recognized companies that helped Spartan with continuous improvement initiatives and aided in increasingsupplier quality in 2017.

“At Spartan, engineering and manufacturing superior products and services for our customers is our priority. To meet those standards, we work with the best and brightest suppliers to exceed expectations and reach the highest levels of operational excellence and cost competitiveness,” said Silva. “We sincerely value our supplier network and the efforts they exert to support our commitment to continuous improvement.”

Each supplier honored consistently maintains a staunch commitment to quality, on-time delivery, total cost control and excellent customer support, as identified by the Spartan team and its ongoing audit procedures.

The companies exemplifying those attributes, then going above and beyond, were presented the Spartan “President’s Award” during the 2017 Supplier Conference. They include Cummins Inc., PPG and Reflex.

Recipients of the Spartan “Diamond Award” during the 2017 Supplier Conference, were:

  • Modine Manufacturing
  • Professional Metal Works
  • RealWheels
  • Romeo Rim Inc.
  • St. Clair Technologies
  • Triton Metal Products
  • Whelen Engineering
  • WURTH Service Supply

Additional suppliers, including Allison Transmission, DANA Inc., and Meritor Inc., were also recognized for their positive contributions to Spartan.
