SEMA makes data management easy

(March 25, 2014) -- The webinar will explain how businesses can benefit from the SEMA Data Co-op, which is already helping more than 600 suppliers and re-sellers manage their parts data, improve efficiencies and increase sales.

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. — Confused about how to get started managing your product data?  Even businesses that have no prior experience with product data can be up and running quickly with the SEMA Data Co-op’s (SDC) powerful online tools and live help desk support, the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association announced today.

Businesses can learn how to get started and see a live demonstration of the SDC system from Director of Membership Jim Graven by attending the SEMA webinar taking place April 3.  The session will explain how businesses can benefit from the SEMA Data Co-op, which is already helping more than 600 suppliers and re-sellers manage their parts data, improve efficiencies and increase sales.

“This webinar is ideal for anyone confused about, or intimidated by, data standardization,” said SDC CEO Jon Wyly. “Having quality product data is an essential component for all businesses. Data impacts everything from internal business systems, web applications, inventory control and so much more.”

The SDC is an industry-owned and operated initiative designed to bring full product data management capabilities to participating suppliers, and to deliver clean, customized data exports to receivers at the lowest possible cost. Features include a secure, industry standards-based centralized data repository, extensive on-boarding tools, expert live training and technical assistance, as well as unlimited standard or fully customized data exports.
