RVIA sets event briefing for March 1

ELKHART, Ind. — A month ago, the  RVIA Board of Directors approved the launch of a totally reimagined national event. Frank Hugelmeyer, president of the organization, says “This announcement has created quite the buzz across the industry and has resulted in much excitement around the idea of a totally new annual RV event. At the same time, the new direction has generated quite a few questions. To be honest, that is to be expected as there are many questions that still need answers.”

In an effort to share the vision for the new event the industry, RVIA will continue to schedule open events for members to see the event outline.The next  briefing will be on March 1 in Elkhart, Indiana, from 9 a.m – 10:30 a.m. at the RV Hall of Fame (Champions Hall).  Please save the date, and RSVP to Beverly Whitley at
Hugelmeyer notes that one of the biggest questions is regarding the event location and dates, and stresses that RVIA’s staff is currently investigating options that will be reviewed with RVIA’s Tradeshow and Events Committee soon.
In addition to speaking to its members, RVIA has also reached out to key stakeholders and partners in the dealer community. “We’ve had a series of meetings with individual companies and dealer groups, and I will be presenting our vision to the RVDA board in March,” Hugelmeyer says.
He adds, “As we move forward, dealer input, participation and support are vital to our success. With that goal in mind, RVIA’s Tradeshow and Events Committee is announcing the creation of an advisory group that will include dealers and other industry partners to help shape and direct this new industry platform. Please stay tuned for additional information from RVIA as we will be moving quickly to build an event that propels the entire RV industry forward, sets a path for our future, and celebrates the achievements of our $50 billion RV industry.”
