RESTON, Va. — The RV Industry Association has published the 2015 Industry Profile, which provides a detailed look at RV production and shipment statistics. It also includes historical comparisons of shipment figures and dollar volume as well as production breakdowns by product type and shipment destination.
Key findings from the 2015 Industry Profile include:
- Wholesale RV shipments reached their highest annual level since 2007 at 374,200 units, a five percent increase over the previous year.
- The total retail value of those shipments exceeded $16.5 billion, a seven percent increase over the $15.4 billion in 2014.
- Indiana overwhelmingly continues to lead the country in RV production, manufacturing 79 percent of all RVs in the United States.
- Texas is the top destination for RV shipments, receiving 7.95 percent of total RV wholesale shipments. California (6.46 percent), Florida (4.12 percent), Michigan (4.05 percent), and Ohio (3.69 percent) round out the top five.
