RVIA adds new staff members

RESTON, Va. — The RV Industry Association welcomed several new staff members over the past six months throughout multiple departments as a continued reorganization initiative.

“These additions are not increasing the association staff size,” said Bill Baker, senior director of communications. “These were folks that were added to fill some new positions and backfill other positions, but not a net increase in association staff size.”

The Membership Department has expanded with the addition of Matthew Hummel, research analyst, membership and Sarah Neely, senior manager, communications and marketing.

The administrative staff are growing to provide additional support and have welcomed Calvin Grant, Jr., administrative assistant, Marcy Marsh, government affairs administrative assistant and Beverly Whitley, events administrative assistant.

RVIA recently welcomed Wayne Atkins as the director of finance in late 2016 and Susan Everhart in early 2017 as the payroll and HR specialist.

Samantha Rocci was brought on late last year as a government affairs analyst and Tammy Marko joined RVIA as the new information technology director in late 2016. The standards team also gained a new inspector in March, Oliver Keultjes.

RVIA will be bringing in a membership specialist, government affairs manager, events director and an attorney within the next couple of months.

RVIA also congratulated John Proteau on his promotion, effective April 1, from senior inspector to director of inspection services.  His knowledge and experience in the areas of RV standards has been invaluable for not only educating his plant contacts but also in the training of all our inspectors, the release noted. He also continues to provide key insight in the development of safety-related code changes.
