FAIRFAX, Va. — Work/life balance means different things to different generations. Flexibility in programs is crucial to address the multiple perceptions and needs for work/life balance, the RV Dealers Association reported.
Consider the recent Ernst & Young’s Global Generations Research survey which found that more than 75 percent of the Millennials and Generation X surveyed are part of a dual-income couple in which both spouses work full time. But with Baby boomers, only 47 percent of the couples have a full-time working spouse.
All three groups appreciate flexible work scheduling. Generation X and Millennials may insist on flexible work schedules, while Baby Boomers value onsite employee wellness programs or personal assistance programs, said Eric Sisk, RVDA marketing communications specialist.
Join the RV Learning Center and KPA June 29 from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern time for an educational webinar.
“Whether your goal is to improve retention, increase engagement, or decrease absenteeism, join us to learn how to offer a comprehensive work/life balance program that works for all generations and how to demonstrate the ROI of your program,” said Sisk.
The webinar will be presented by Kathryn Carlson, vice president of human resources management products for KPA. She has more than 25 years of experience in human resource management. For the past 13 years she has focused on developing HR software and programs to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure compliance for companies ranging from small businesses to international corporations.
