RESTON, Va. – The inaugural RV Industry Awards will bring the RV industry together for an evening of recognition during the National RV Trade Show. The awards are slated for 7:30 p.m., November 29 at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville, Kentucky.

This event will serve as a platform to honor the companies, people and vehicles that showcase the RV industry as dynamic, innovative, inspirational and customer-service focused. The event, sponsored by Kampgrounds of America (KOA), will feature RVDA’s Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) Quality Circle Awards, RVBusiness magazine’s RV of the Year Award and a new RVIA Leadership Award.

Now in its 24th year, RVDA’s DSI program measures dealer attitudes toward manufacturers’ policies, products and procedures. RVDA presents its Quality Circle Awards each year to RV manufacturers achieving the highest ratings in a member survey, which focuses on four areas that are important to dealers and manufacturers: vehicle reliability/quality; parts; warranty and sales support.

“RVDA is pleased to partner with RV Business and RVIA on this exciting new event, set to be held in conjunction with the National RV Trade Show,” said RVDA President Phil Ingrassia. “We look forward to a great night celebrating the achievements of top performers in the RV industry.”

Now in its fifth year, RV Business magazine’s “RV of the Year” is bestowed annually upon one recreational vehicle that, in the opinion of RVBusiness magazine’s editorial staff, best exemplifies a manufacturer’s ability to “push the envelope” in design and engineering. The winner, along with four other finalists, will be announced during the RV Industry Awards.

“The RV of the Year is a unit that helps define and underscore where the RV industry is headed as manufacturers continue to develop authentically different and unique concepts to appeal to the changing requirements of new generations of campers,” said RV Business Publisher Sherman Goldenberg. “If we were to focus on one critical aspect of the award, it would be product innovation — introducing new technologies to the market that are integral not only to the award but to the continued health of the industry.”

The RVIA Leadership Award, in its very first year, recognizes an individual, group or organization for exemplary leadership in the RV industry. The nominee(s) must demonstrate excellence in innovation and creativity in the RV industry, inspire and encourage others and commit to providing excellent service to the RV community.

Nominations for the award are currently being accepted at RVIAshow.org/LeadershipAward.

“The RVIA Leadership Award will go to an individual in the industry who seeks ways to implement change and further the growth and success of the RV industry,” said RVIA Senior Vice President of Trade Shows and Events, Liz Crawford. “RVIA is excited to recognize all of the RV Industry Award winners alongside RVDA and RVBusiness magazine. It’s time to celebrate the success of the industry and the hard work everyone puts into their business.”
