RVDA of Canada celebrates 30th anniversary

RICHMOND, B.C. — The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada will be holding its 30th Anniversary Celebration on Aug. 23, at the RV/Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind.

The RVDA of Canada was incorporated under the not-for-profit corporation act on Aug. 26. This new association would unite and bring together members that represented the retail businesses involved in the recreation vehicle industry across Canada. This organization would provide the support and strength to protect and promote the interests and welfare of Canadian RV dealers so that they could all maximize their potential.

Chairman Sam Parks noted that as the current board reflected upon how best to mark this event, they decided that they wanted to have a formal acknowledgment of the past chairs or presidents who helped lead the association throughout the years.

“We wanted to let them know that their contributions and dedication have helped ensure that the RVDA of Canada is what it is today.”

As such, the association has dedicated some leadership bricks to each individual, which have been placed at the RV/Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame. A special reception, recognition ceremony and dinner will be held to celebrate the event. Attendees will include numerous past RVDA of Canada Chairmen as well as the current board and staff.

Photos of the event will be posted in the August 2016 issue of the member newsletter.
