FAIRFAX, Va. — Dealers can check out the complete matrix of all events for the 2013 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo by visiting the RVDA website, the RV Dealers Association announced today. 

It’s a useful planning tool for all convention registrants and for dealers who are still deciding which staff they will bring to the convention, Sept. 30 to Oct. 4 in Las Vegas, said Julianne Ryder, RVDA marketing communications specialist.

The theme of the convention/expo is “Education: Your Competitive Advantage,” and that idea was the basis for creating an event completely focused on building an educated dealer body that can compete in a fast-paced economy, she explained.

“There are more chances to bring additional dealership staff for meaningful education, numerous new presenters on the program, and a strong emphasis on fresh topics that give dealers a competitive advantage,” said Ryder. “There is also a new tool to help dealers make the most of the convention week, a free mobile app that puts convention information on a smartphone or tablet.”

Track workshops for dealer/general managers, parts, sales, service, and rentals are easily identified on the color-coded matrix, and there’s a new logo designating which education workshops are recommended for young RV executives attending the convention. The matrix also offers information about expo hours, Partners in Progress Brand Committee meetings, annual meetings, and all education events including times and room assignments. 

“Dealer demand for increased staff training at the convention has been met through the addition of Vendor Training +plus and increased proprietary workshops scheduled for Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 2.” said Ryder.

For staff that cannot be spared from the dealership for the entire convention, these two days of education offer a rate of $179 for any dealership already sending a full registrant, she noted.

Vendor Training +plus is new this year, offering longer training sessions from IDS, Blue Ox, and NCompass RV.

The convention is sponsored by the RV Dealers Association, RVDA of Canada, and the RV Learning Center. The 2013 convention will feature an exhibit hall filled with the RV industry’s top suppliers offering products and services to help dealers improve profitability. RVDA’s Partners in Progress Brand Committees will also meet to work on important dealer/manufacturer issues, said Ryder.
