RV sales accelerate with strengthening economy

(Feb. 17, 2015) -- Sales of RVs at Fedder's Marine and RV in Le Mars, Iowa, are increasing. Owner Matthew Fedders attributes the success to the economical way of enjoying a family vacation.

LE MARS, Iowa — Sales of RVs are starting to accelerate after a bumpy road for the industry, according to Siouxland Matters.

Travel and entertainment dollars were limited during the recession. But now with falling unemployment rates and affordable interest options, folks are starting to purchase more and more RV’s, Siouxland Matters reported.

Businesses like Fedder’s Marine and RV in Le Mars, Iowa, told Siouxland Matter they’re seeing the momentum carrying into this year. Business owner Matthew Fedders said, “Gas prices have definitely helped. But even when the gas prices were higher, the sales were still increasing. And you know, I think you just really attribute it to how it’s an economical way to enjoy family time together.”
