RoverPass improves its RV park booking system

AUSTIN, Texas — RoverPass, the camping industry’s first full-service booking platform, announces a number of product upgrades that drastically improves the booking process, while remaining free to RV park owners.

The RV industry is flooded with pricey or functionally limited reservation options. This has created a huge disconnect between tech-savvy campers and park owners with limited access to cost-effective technology solutions. RoverPass recently upgraded its reservation system, keeping it free for campgrounds while offering a more seamless, user-friendly experience for both RVers and park owners.

“The reason RoverPass competes so successfully in this space is because we offer basic booking functions and excellent customer service, but we don’t charge parks anything,” said Ravi Parikh, CEO of RoverPass. “Other reservation systems are extremely price prohibitive, keeping parks out.”

Now with RoverPass, campground owners can refund customers online with a new refund button on their owner dashboard. Parks can also display custom alerts to inform RVers of important changes on their campgrounds, opening up the lines of communication between travelers and their hosts.

“Our product has been built from the ground up with a new perspective on reservations: provide the essentials to accept online reservations and leverage everything we can for online marketing efforts. The new custom alerts is a good example of this. The owner can quickly post messages to promote special upcoming events to people using the online checkout.”

The engineering team also updated the app’s pricing configuration, making it significantly easier for campground owners to view their prices and get them changed to reflect fluid rates. Backing up the technology is a team of dedicated content and marketing strategists and campground services reps.

“I’m happy with the additional business, easy direct deposits, the information included in the reservation requests, the quality of campers they refer, the website and exposure, and most of all the personal customer service,” reported Margaret Wilson, owner of the Waco RV Park and partner campground with RoverPass.

RoverPass continues to build its platform with both the RVer and campground owner in mind to make the process of booking campsites easy and hassle-free. In a space previously governed by snail mail and leaving voicemails, this software continues to fill a gap in the outdoor travel industry.

  1. Nice concept – could be the TripAdvisor for Campgrounds. BUT . . . the first three campgrounds I selected near Pensacola, FL said I had to call because they don’t accept online reservations. No added value here, I’m afraid.
