Record RV sales welcome news for S.D. dealers

(June 16, 2015) -- "What we're seeing right now is people down sizing from the big Class A motorhomes," Don Claussen, with Leisure Travel Vans, told KSFY. "They want to be able to get into the state parks. So many beautiful state parks out there that they can't get into with the big bosses."

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Since the economic downturn in 2009, sales of towable RVs rose nearly 47 percent nationally, and the impact can be felt locally, KSFY-TV reported.

“What we’re seeing right now is people down sizing from the big Class A motorhomes,” Don Claussen, with Leisure Travel Vans, told KSFY. “They want to be able to get into the state parks. So many beautiful state parks out there that they can’t get into with the big bosses.”
