Raw Travel features Great Smoky Mountains 1 year after fire

(Oct. 26, 2017) -- AIM Tell-A-Vision Group (AIM TV) announced that its syndicated television series Raw Travel will premiere "RV Road Trip: Great Smoky Mountains," Oct. 28-29 in over 165 cities all over the USA.

NEW YORK — AIM Tell-A-Vision Group (AIM TV) announced that its syndicated television series Raw Travel will premiere “RV Road Trip: Great Smoky Mountains,” Oct. 28-29 in over 165 cities all over the USA.

The producers visited the Southern Appalachia area of the greater Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee area last June, just a few months after a devastating and deadly forest fire that became one of Tennessee’s greatest natural disasters in modern history.

The crew of three, traveled by RV from Charlotte, North Carolina through The Great Smoky Mountains to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They made stops at the small river rafting town of Hartford, Tennessee and nearby Asheville and Maggie Valley, North Carolina to film as well.

“I’m originally from Tennessee and have many fond memories of visiting the towns and communities around the Smoky Mountains when growing up. I was distraught to see the reports of the devastation from the 2016 fire,” states Robert G. Rose, executive producer and host of Raw Travel. “So many folks here depend on tourism for their livelihood, we wanted to showcase the beauty, unique culture and friendly people that make visiting here so delightful. I hope that in some small way this episode will help spread the word that they are open for business and inspire new travelers who’ve yet to discover the unique charm of this area of the country,” Rose continued.

Rose and crew were first time RV travelers and also wanted to document their unique travel experience for other nascent RV travelers while showcasing first-hand why RV travel has become so popular in recent years.

From practical tips, to the varying features of different RV parks and the experience of driving a 30-foot motor home, the producers hoped to showcase authentic RV travel for a broader base of adventurers and vacationers who may not have considered RV travel before.
