Rainmaker webinar helps dealers control service department

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Have you heard the phrase, “The Devil is in the Details?” Well the details are in your service department, said Chad Carr, president of Rainmaker Consulting.

“For every unit you sell you could be processing a dozen work orders,” said Carr. “There are so many little things to manage and so many ways that money can slip through your fingers.”

When sales are booming, owners often overlook these details and accept their losses as a part of doing business, Carr explained.

“Today that approach is a recipe for disaster. Your service department has to generate cash for the dealership,” he added.

In a free online webinar Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. CDT, Carr will share many of the powerful lessons his clients have learned about how to take control of their service departments to increase their cash flow and decrease their headaches.

This fast paced session will be full of real life examples and practical solutions to everyday problems, he said. Participants will learn some of the common pitfalls that can cause a dealership’s service department to lose money and what can be done to fix them.

In addition to the valuable information provided in this webinar, participants will be able to download free forms and tools they can implement right away to help get on top of their service department.
