Podcast 154 features RVDA President Phil Ingrassia

Today’s guest is Phil Ingrassia, the president of the RV Dealers Association in Fairfax, Va. The 2017 RV Dealers Convention and Expo takes place Oct. 6 to 10 at Bally’s in Las Vegas.

This is one of the Top 3 industry events of the year and Ingrassia comes on the show to describe what will take place at this year’s convention.

RVDA President Phil Ingrassia

He describes RVDA’s Vendor Training Plus program as well as a new initiative with NTP-Stag, and the Partners in Progress meetings scheduled among dealers and manufacturers.

He touches on the new slate of speakers for this year, which includes a lot of women and first-time presenters. He also talks about the expo and the number of vendors that will be exhibiting products and services in that sold-out venue.

The RVDA show is an important event, he explains, because people can network with some very professional dealers, hook up with some of the industry’s key suppliers and learn a lot about what’s happening in the industry and the market in general from a plethora of speakers.

Special activities are planned for young executives and the Top 50 RV Dealers will be announced by RV Business at the event.

This year’s show will feature another event that Ingrassia didn’t mention.  RV Daily Report has hired caricature artist Neal Portnoy to set up a table at the opening night of the expo on Tuesday, Nov. 7. He’s going to create an entertaining event drawing fun portraits of the attendees.

With all the change in the industry and the market, RV dealers and their staff should make plans to attend this year’s RVDA convention and expo.
