BURLINGTON, Iowa — Pleasure-Way Industries recently made the Winegard Rayzar Automatic RV TV antenna standard equipment across their entire lineup of Class B coaches, the company announced today.
“Our decision was made while attending a large show in Pomona, Calif., where the Winegard Rayzar Automatic picked an extraordinary 131 free TV stations,” said Pleasure-Way CEO Dean Rumpel.
That revelation came as no surprise to Dave Chiswell, who represents Winegard products in the Canadian market, in addition to field testing new Winegard products.
“Winegard has been a great company to represent in Canada and has provided me with some really groundbreaking products to promote. The new Rayzar Automatic Local Broadcast HDTV antenna and the RoadTrip T4 In-Motion Automatic Satellite TV Antenna products are on top the list,” he explained.
“Recently, I left Winnipeg and proceeded to drive east to Quebec City. The test results on both products were above-and-beyond my expectations,” Chiswell added. “The RoadTrip T4 maintained signal of at least 90 percent of the time utilizing a Bell satellite, cutting out only on the narrowest of single lane roads where obvious obstruction were between us and the satellite.
“The T4 would automatically reacquire at its first line-of-sight opportunity,” he said. “The Rayzar Automatic performed equally well, picking up numerous stations wherever we happened to travel through. I had as many as 19 stations on the first scan in Montreal and 14 at the airport in Toronto.”
Erik Guldager, national sales manager for Winegard Mobile Products, added, “It is great to be associated with the Pleasure-Way Industries brand. They have always been a strong Winegard partner and supporter and we are excited to see them add our top-of-the line over-the-air antenna product to their coaches.
“The use of the Rayzar Automatic is especially appealing as it takes away the forever-annoying and time-consuming task of multiple channel scans every time you move your coach or your antenna,” said Guldager. “With other products out there RVers can spend up to an hour channel scanning on their TVs while locating the different farms of TV stations in their newest location.
“The Rayzar Automatic now allows Rvers to spend more time watching TV and enjoying the great outdoors and spend less time pointing their antenna,” he explained.
