Plans firm for Canadian Night celebration in Louisville

(Oct. 23, 2013) -- "As one of the few exclusive events for Canadians while in Louisville, we intend to offer you a fun-filled evening with light entertainment, ample networking opportunities and short speeches," said Hamm. The highlight of the event will be the announcement of the 2013 Walter Paseska Canadian RV Dealer of the Year Award.

RICHMOND, B.C. — The RV Dealers Association of Canada is busy finalizing plans for the annual Canadian Night dinner and celebration to kick off the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.

This year’s event takes place Dec. 2 starting at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails at the Galt House in Louisville, Ky. Dinner is served at 7 p.m.

The highlight of the event will be the announcement of the 2013 Walter Paseska Canadian RV Dealer of the Year Award, which will be presented by Camping Canada’s RV Lifestyle Magazine and Dealer News.  The four finalist’s for the association’s highest honor include:

  • Ian Moore, with Big Boy’s Toys
  • Kyle Redmond, with Burcars RV Centre
  • Terry Rumpel, from Glenwood RV Centre
  • Herb Cowan, from Pike Lake Golf Centre

Following the award presentation, Michael “Pinball” Clemons will take the stage as the evening’s keynote speaker. The former all-star running back, Grey Cup winning coach, president and CEO, and now the vice-chair for the Toronto Argonauts, Clemons will deliver a high-energy presentation, said Eleonore Hamm, executive director.

Michael is an athlete with true character, an incredibly generous spirit and a quiet dignity that shines on and off the field,” said Hamm. “He will deliver a presentation that is both captivating and empowering. He is known to inspire audiences by demonstrating what it means to beat the odds and encourages listeners to use teamwork to achieve their goals.”

Canadians who register for the event before Nov. 25 can pay just $65 for a ticket. At the door, tickets sell for $85. People can register for the event by calling RVDA of Canada at 604.718.6306.
