Pittsburgh RV show reports strong attendance, sales

(Jan. 19, 2012) -- The 2012 Pittsburgh RV Show opened Jan. 14 with a record first day attendance topping 6,000 visitors, organizers reported today. Clem’s Trailer Sales, reported that their sales were up 20 percent over this time last year.

PITTSBURGH, Penn. — The 2012 Pittsburgh RV Show opened Jan. 14 with a record first day attendance topping 6,000 visitors, organizers reported today.

The numbers continued to please Show Manager Rob Young through Wednesday. “These are the best numbers we’ve seen in 10 years,” said Young.

Total visitors exceeded 12,000 people as of show closing Wednesday evening. Young reports that at this rate the total visitors could reach an all time high of 25,000.

The RV show reported 18,000 visitors in 2011.

Dealers displaying at the show are also reporting an increase in sales. Steve Deffenbaugh, general manager of Clem’s Trailer Sales, reported that their sales were up 20 percent over this time last year.

The Pittsburgh RV Show is open through Jan. 22 at the David L Lawrence Convention Center and is Produced by Three Rivers Promotions, Inc.
