Norcold settles class action suit

SYDNEY, Ohio —  Norcold today agreed, subject to court approval, to settle two class action lawsuits pending in federal district court in Los Angeles on behalf of customers who had purchased certain Norcold RV refrigerators.

The settlement applies to consumers who own or owned a Norcold 1200 Series refrigerator manufactured between Jan. 1, 2002 and Oct. 1, 2012, or who currently own a Norcold Series N6 or N8 manufactured between Jan. 1, 2009 to Dec. 31, 2013.

Norcold, which denies the allegations, said the settlement will allow the company to avoid the uncertainty, risk, expense and distraction of further class-action litigation.

The suit alleged that a Norcold hid information about a design defect from the public. The settlement amounts to $24.5 million in cash to RV owners and $8.5 million to the attorneys filing the action.

  1. if we filed a form and have not received any information what is going on our rv burned as well who got the money$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

  2. This is OUTRAGEOUS what they have put all of us through! If it were them, I’m sure it would be a different situation! All of us who filed claims have gone through some horrible situations! Maybe we should be going to the press and expose the whole thing but I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt to do what is right!!! People tend to forget that God is watching what is going on and people will have to account for what they do!

  3. This is a crock, I have not heard a thing since I filed my claim who got the money from this class action, not any one of us who filed a claim I’m sure.
