New Zealand: Freedom campers on best behavior

(Jan. 6, 2017) -- Freedom campers appear to have been on their best behavior during the holiday season in Southland. Across the region there does not seem to have been any serious complaints of campers infringing bylaws that were adopted at the end of 2015.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand — Freedom campers appear to have been on their best behavior during the holiday season in Southland.

Across the region there does not seem to have been any serious complaints of campers infringing bylaws that were adopted at the end of 2015.

Southland District Council communications manager Louise Pagan said there had been “no major issues” reported to the council over the Christmas and New Year period.
