New video shows how to save energy in an RV

EDMONDS, Wash. — RVTravel.com, along with its RVTravel Channel on YouTube, has debuted a new seven-part video series about how RVers can make their RVs more energy efficient. The Green RV Project will continue with a new episode every Saturday through Nov. 8.

The series of short videos has been produced with the assistance of many RV and energy companies. It’s intended to make RV owners and potential owners aware that any RV, even a basic travel trailer, can be easily equipped with new technology to make “off the grid” camping easier and more comfortable using renewable energy.

Chris Dougherty, a RVDA/RVIA certified technician and industry journalist, produced the video series and is its host. It was made possible with the assistance of Grape Solar; Star Lights, Inc.; Torklift; Trojan Battery and Xantrex.

“This series is not a ‘how to’ series, but rather to give RVers an overview of what they can do to make their RVs more energy efficient and give them better options when camping in places where utility connections are not available,” said Dougherty.

RV Travel’s YouTube channel is the most watched about RVing in North America with more than 6.5 million views, the release noted.

The first segment of the Green RV Project, an introduction by Dougherty, can be viewed at http://youtu.be/fiYZMIZjuWE.
