New owners take over TrailManor

JACKSBORO, Tenn. — Bob and Cleo Eickhoff announced today they have purchased the assets of TrailManor, Inc., which allows the company to
continue building TrailManor travel trailers.

“TrailManor Manufacturing Company, LLC , was created to ensure that TrailManor will be here for years to come, with quality products, great service and unforgettable camping experiences,” said Bob Eickhoff.

“As you are aware, the economic downturn took a critical toll on the RV industry; in fact, many major manufacturers and dealers were forced out of business,” he added. “In spite of these difficult economic conditions, TrailManor survived. And now, our new organization makes the TrailManor brand even stronger.”

Eickhoff said the new company will focus on:

  • Expanding parts capabilities. Instead of parts centralized at the TrailManor Plant, the company is in the process of setting up dealer locations across the country that will stock parts. In the future, there will be more locations that offer parts, he said.
  • Increasing manufacturing capability. In addition to building TrailManor trailers in Tennessee, the firm will have a manufacturing plant in Hartington, Neb., starting in 2012. The company’s corporate offices will also be located in Hartington.
  • Adding new products. TrailManor’s new Sport Line of folding trailers (SportDeck 16, SportDeck 19 and 2417 Sport) offers RV enthusiasts smaller, more affordable high-value travel trailers. It is easier than ever to own a new TrailManor, said Eickhoff.
  • Discontinuing the Elkmont line. “Because of loss in production time, and the demand for our new Sport models, at the present time we are not building our Elkmont line. But we will continue to offer full parts and service support for our Elkmont upright trailers,” said Eickhoff.
  • Looking toward the future. The company is in the process of planning new TrailManor models and is seeking suggestions and ideas from dealers and RV owners.

“We do appreciate the patience you have demonstrated while we have been in this transition,” said Eickhoff. “We are now a stronger company and ready to support the TrailManor brand and all who benefit from it.”
