National RV Supply closes its doors

ELKHART, Ind. — Employees at National RV Supply Company, a wholesale distribution company that funnels products to Camping World locations, reportedly arrived at work recently to a big surprise–the company had closed its doors for good as of Friday, Oct. 27.

The firm’s website seems to confirm this, as it has been taken down and replaced with the following message: “Effective Friday, October 27th, 2017 the centralized wholesale capability offered by National RV Supply Company will discontinue service directly to the public. Any orders that have been placed through Friday, including special orders, will be fulfilled. If you have any questions about orders that are in process please contact: wholesale@campingworld.com. Wholesale product pricing and service will continue to be offered at your local Camping World location. To find the nearest store, please go campingworld.com. We appreciate all of your business and thank you for the opportunity. We look forward to serving you in the future.”

It was just in April 2016 that National RV Supply launched a new website that allowed its dealers to place convenient online orders and inquire on pricing for over 15,000 high volume SKU numbers. This move followed closely on the heels of the company opening the doors of its Elkhart, Indiana, office, which comprised its customer service center.

The dealer portal, which used to be located at www.NationalRVSupply.com, was only available to RV dealers, campgrounds and RV service centers that had established a wholesale account with National RV Supply.

Comments about why the doors were closed and what will happen now were unavailable as of press time today.
