Myers RV earns top Route 66 award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Myers RV Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was recently awarded the Larry Coker Commitment Award at the 15th Annual ROUTE 66 RV Network Rally.

According to Rob Merrill, a ROUTE 66 partner, “This award is presented annually to the ROUTE 66 dealership that most fully embraces and reflects an All-in commitment to The Network, their associates and customers. Larry Coker, a past advisory board member and employee of the Network, passed away suddenly in 2009 after completing an assignment of conducting training at every ROUTE 66 dealership.

Myers RV Center, family-owned and operated, was founded in 1978 and has frequently earned Customer Service Excellence Awards over the years from both Fleetwood and Newmar. As a 14 year member of The Network, John Myers, president of the dealership and past ROUTE 66 Advisory Board member, says ”Having known Larry personally as a friend and co-board member … this is particularly a special honor. His solid dedication and tireless efforts toward establishing the ROUTE 66 brand in our dealerships coast-to-coast was critical to The Network’s early and on-going success.”

Myers continues, “The fact that we have 150+ top-quality RV dealerships in ROUTE 66 today across North America, all standing solidly behind the promise we make to our customers, ‘Wherever the road takes you … you can count on us’, that is a very big deal. We make sure all of our customers know that as they travel … the answer to their questions or solution to their problems are as close as the nearest ROUTE 66 dealer. With 150+ locations … that’s pretty close.”

Myers RV participates in many of its nearly 50 unique programs that ROUTE 66 offers it’s dealers to enhance customer service, save money and improve profitability of the dealership. As a family-owned dealership, John’s son, Jeff, works in the dealership and recently agreed to serve on the 2019-2020 ROUTE 66 Advisory Board.

Congratulations and Thank you to John and his entire team at Myers RV Center in Albuquerque!
