BRISTOL, England — The Scott Sports mountain bike teams are using a selection of Bailey Pursuit, Pegasus GT65 and Unicorn caravans plus Approach Autograph motorhomes while racing in bike competitions in beautiful and remote locations in the UK this season, Bailey of Bristol announced today.
This adds to the portfolio of active sports Bailey has supported this year, which includes Team Bailey Racing, competing in Mini’s at a series of motorsport events across the UK and Europe, and most recently the extreme #4321 Challenge by four time world ironman champion, Chrissie Wellington MBE, and her teammates.
After using the Bailey support vehicles at the first Scott MTB Marathon Series event at the Builth Wells Spring MTB Festival in Wales last month and most recently in Scotland for Tweedlove, the UK’s biggest bike festival, Phil Stephenson, Scott Sports MTN Bike team manager said, “We’re extremely grateful to Bailey of Bristol for these amazing leisure vehicles as having the comfort of a caravan or motorhome as a base is perfect when we’re competing at remote locations in all weathers. With our own facilities we can shower, relax and refresh wherever we are.”
Bailey caravans and motorhomes will also be supporting the Scott teams taking part in the next Scott MTB Marathon Series events June 29 at Church Stretton, Shropshire, Aug. 3 at Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfries, Scotland and Sept. 13 and 14 at Ruthin, north Wales.
Full details of these events, including how to participate, are available at www.mtb-marathon.co.uk. There’s also a range of photos of the Scott Sports team on the Bailey Pinterest board at Pinterest.com/baileyofbristol.
Nick Howard, managing director at Bailey of Bristol, added, “As a keen cyclist and triathlete myself, like many of our customers, I always love to take bikes away on my caravan and motorhome trips, so am particularly delighted Bailey has added mountain biking to its portfolio of active sports it supports, and would like to wish the Scott Sports team every success at their next events.”
