Mount-n-Lock to launch new products at PRVCA show

(Sept. 14, 2015) — BetterBilt Solutions, dba Mount-n-Lock, announced an update to their patent-pending SafetyStruts bumper brackets as well as the launch of two new external cargo management products.

HERSHEY, Pa. — BetterBilt Solutions, dba Mount-n-Lock, announced an update to their patent-pending SafetyStruts bumper brackets as well as the launch of two new external cargo management products.

Frank Fenneran, vice president of sales and marketing for Mount-n-Lock, announced several new products that would be debuting at “America’s Largest RV Show” in Hershey, Pa.

  • 4Square SafetyStruts HD – The design has been updated to increase strength and accommodate a wider variety of RV frame types and sizes.
  • 4Square Flat Plate Hitch – Joining the 4Square family of products designed for square RV bumpers, this new entry provides RVers with a weld-free, tighter tolerance two-inch hitch receiver for mounting accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers to their RV’s square bumper.
  • Stowatray – This unique, light weight cargo carrier was inspired by comments received at the 2014 Hershey show and addresses the need to “shrink” a cargo carrier for stowage.

The redesigned 4Square SafetyStruts feature a stronger design with thicker horizontal and vertical arms. The redesign also allowed the increase of mounting holes per strut from two to four, with the number of bolts per strut increasing from two to three. The additional bolt holes, in combination with the increased number of bolts, allow the SafetyStruts to be mounted to a wider variety of RV frame types and sizes, including I-beam, channel, and tube type frames.

The new SafetyStruts will continue to fit both four-inch and four-and-a-half-inch square RV bumpers. This product has been showcased on RVTravel.com and has received five-star ratings and reviews from users and dealers alike.

Stowatray is the result of customer and distributor inquiries asking for a configurable, stowable, hitch-based cargo carrier. The all-aluminum cargo tray weighs only 17 pounds yet can carry 300 pounds. Its platform can be adjusted from two-feet by two-feet to just shy of two-feet by four-feet in minutes. The hitch bar also can be retracted into the carrier, reducing the overall dimensions to two-feet by two-feet by four inches for stowage in tight spaces.

The 4Square Flat Plate Hitch weld-free design eliminates a potential failure point while the tighter tolerances reduce the shake, rattle, and roll common among typical bumper-mounted hitches.

Fenneran said, “We are very excited to bring these new products to the market. We’ve had people asking for a lightweight, adjustable, hitch-based cargo carrier and the Stowatray meets these needs.“
