Lippert employees volunteer time to help homeless

ELKHART, Ind. — A group from Freedom Center Ministries in Centreville is doing what it can to reach out to area residents affected by homelessness. The group met Saturday at Walmart in Sturgis and from there went out into the community, bags in hand, in hopes of encountering those who are homeless. The bags contained a number of items.

About 25 people took part in the outreach Saturday. A large number of the participants were from Lippert Components Plant 28 in Middlebury, Ind. They wore T-shirts that read, “Giving back to the communities from which we draw 100,000 hours of community service.”
