Lance trailer winner chooses first destination

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The state of Arizona will be the first destination for Rob Cox, a resident of Anaheim, Calif., who was the lucky winner of a new 2015 Lance 1575 Ultra-Light Travel Trailer that was given away at the 62nd Annual California RV Show, held in Pomona last October.

Cox was selected from more than 10,000 entries to take home the travel trailer, which has an MSRP of $25,540.

Bob Rogers, director of marketing for Lance Campers, said, “This is our eleventh year giving away a Lance camper during the California RV Show and it’s awesome to see someone like Rob so excited to win our all new 2015 Lance 1575 ultra-light travel trailer.”

Rob said this is the first time to win a grand prize. Single and ready to go camping, he is looking forward to seeing the country, starting his tour in Arizona. As a young boy, he and his family would enjoy camping at different locations. Now he plans to take his friends in his own Lance Travel Trailer. He also wants to do some camping near the beach.

When asked the one thing he liked most about the trailer, Rob said, “What can I say.  It came from Lance!”

The 15’5” trailer weighs only 2,700 (dry/unloaded) making it easy to tow the trailer with an everyday vehicle. Since the trailer sleeps four, owners like Rob can bring a few buddies to go fishing, and enjoy the great outdoors. While traditional trailers are constructed primarily of wood, Lance Campers utilizes aluminum and Azdel because it is more durable and lightweight.

Entrants had a few options to register, including filling out a form at the RV Show, registering online at the Best RV Show website, or registering at the sponsoring partner KTLA (Ch. 5) website.

Nancy Giltner, KTLA senior account executive commented, “All of us at KTLA enjoyed working with RVIA and Lance during the 62nd California RV Show.  The promotion/giveaway added to the excitement, and enhanced the overall marketing campaign on KTLA. We look forward to the 63rd California RV Show, and our continued partnership with RVIA and Lance!”
