John Bleakley Motor Homes to shut its doors

(June 15, 2011) -- John Bleakley Motor Homes will shut its doors "soon" an employee confirmed to RV Daily Report today.

JACKSON, Ga. – John Bleakley Motor Homes will shut its doors “soon” an employee confirmed to RV Daily Report today.

The Georgia dealership, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2008, has three locations in Jackson, Douglasville and Unadilla.  They were the largest motorhome dealership in Georgia for three consecutive years from 2005 to 2008.

A former employee who alerted RV Daily Report to the pending closing indicated the dealership had lost its bank financing, but that information could not be confirmed this morning as company officials have not yet responded to requests for comment.

A few years ago, the company was the No. 1 Blue Bird dealership and in the Top 10 for Monaco dealerships.

No further information has been released by the company.
