MIDDLEBURY, Ind. — RVIA recently released its December wholesale shipment numbers, wrapping up 2015, which indicate that Jayco outpaced the industry in wholesale shipment growth in nearly every category in which the company competes, a release from Jayco stated.
Overall, Jayco’s towable division saw growth at a rate of 12.3 percent in wholesale shipments, while the industry saw a rise in wholesale shipments with a 4.5 percent increase.

Jayco also exceeded the industry in travel trailer wholesale shipments by a wide margin with a growth of 12 percent compared to the industry’s 7.5 percent.
“We have made great progress in improving our products across all of our lines and divisions over the past couple of years and it’s clearly starting to show,” stated Derald Bontrager, president and CEO of Jayco. “The repositioning of our fifth wheels and the addition of our luxury fifth wheel line have catapulted our wholesale shipments of fifth wheels to the highest they’ve been for the company, while we continue to grow and improve on our strengths in the travel trailer market.”
Jayco’s motorhome division significantly outpaced the industry’s growth of wholesale shipments with a 29 percent increase year over year. It outpaced the industry with a 26.7 percent growth in Class C shipments to the industry’s 15.8 percent, and a 34 percent increase in Class A gas and diesel shipments to the industry’s .2 percent increase.
“The motorhome division has done an excellent job of continuously improving and staying ahead of the curve with our Class C and Class A models,” Bontrager commented. “It’s an aggressive market, but we’ve seen impressive gains from that division year over year and have no plans of slowing any time soon.”
