IN: Council grants 2 tax breaks for Cummins

(April 6, 2017) -- The Seymour City Council recently approved two tax abatements for the company, allowing Cummins to phase in paying taxes on the investment incrementally over the next 10 years.

SEYMOUR, Ind. — Cummins has plans to spend $2.28 million this year in capital expenses as part of its ongoing growth and expansion of the Seymour Engine Plant and Seymour Technical Center on Fourth Street.

The Seymour City Council recently approved two tax abatements for the company, allowing Cummins to phase in paying taxes on the investment incrementally over the next 10 years.
