Girl received third-degree burns after running through fire

(July 21, 2015) -- A three year-old girl suffered agonizing third degree burns after irresponsible campers left a fire smoldering at a beach north of Townsville, Australia.

PERTH, Australia — A three year-old girl suffered agonizing third degree burns after irresponsible campers left a fire smoldering at a beach north of Townsville, according to Perth Now.

Hannah Kelley ran on to hot sand which was covering smoldering coals after her parents stopped to douse a fire as they were driving home from a day trip to Ollera Creek, Perth Now reported.

Despite her parents soaking her feet in liters of water, little Hannah was left with severe burns and unable to walk, Perth Now explained.
