SUN CITY, Ariz. – Ronnie Garrett will replace Greg Gerber as the editor-in-chief of RV Daily Report, effective July 1, the company announced today.

Garrett is a seasoned journalist with 25 years of experience and a knack for immersing herself in an industry and covering it well, Gerber explained.

She has written about law enforcement, truck and generator engines, aviation, green building, infection control and the supply chain over the span of her career.

A mother of five, Garrett is no stranger to camping, so her role as editor-in-chief of RV Daily Report has her particularly excited.

“I grew up in northern Wisconsin where camping was a very big part of my life,” she said, adding that it still is as she takes her youngest daughters, ages 14 and 15, on camping adventures every summer.

“I feel like this position will be like coming home for me, a return to my roots of sorts,” she explained. “Terry and Evada Cooper have some exciting changes planned and I look forward to driving them forward.”

RV Daily Report announced June 1 that the Coopers would acquire the publication in July.

“We are happy Ronnie has agreed to come on board to lead RV Daily Report,” said Terry Cooper. “When we decided to take over the publication, we knew we would need a strong editor to not only step in and fill the void left by Greg’s departure, but also someone with great ideas to advance RV Daily Report to the next level.”

Gerber and Garrett worked together at Cygnus Business Media 15 years ago when he was the editor of RV Trade Digest and she was the editor of Law Enforcement Technology.

“Ronnie is a tenacious editor who quickly immerses herself in whatever industry she’s covering by getting to know the issues that directly impact the publications readers, and her effort is frequently recognized,” said Gerber.

Garrett has received several awards for her writing during her career. The most recent was from the Trade Association of Business Publications International for her article, Cyber Insecurity, which appeared in the October 2014 issue of Airport Business. The international writing competition, with entries coming from all over the globe, recognized Garrett for writing the best feature.

“Ronnie has shared with us her plan to expand coverage in the RV industry as well as enhance the weekly edition to be more consumer friendly focusing on RV travel and the lifestyle,” said Evada Cooper. “We are confident the industry will embrace all that Ronnie brings to RV Daily Report.”

Garrett will take over the email address July 1. She will also take control of the company’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
