Fogdall’s donate $4,000 to RV Learning Center

FAIRFAX, Va. — Jim and Judy Fogdall no longer own and operate an RV dealership, but they are still a vital part of the industry, contributing $4,000 to the Mike Molino RV Learning Center, the RV Dealers Association reported today.

The Fogdalls’ donation fuels this year’s campaign to continue funding critical education and training resources for dealers and their staff.  The annual fundraising effort ensures that the Learning Center can maintain high standards, keep pace with technology, and meet dealers’ educational needs, said Jeff Pastore, RV Learning Center chairman.

In 2013 the Fogdalls sold their dealership, Fogdall RV, after 50 years in the business. Fogdall RV was a long-time supporter of the RV Learning Center, contributing more than $39,000 over the years. Jim Fogdall is a past chairman of RVDA. This new donation was made in memory of two recently deceased members of the RVDA community: Bob Strawn who was the association’s second chief staff officer; and Sharon Horsey, wife of RVDA Past Chairman Rick Horsey, of Parkview RV Center in Smyrna, Del.

“The staff, dealer leaders, and RVDA dealer members have established a high level of trust and confidence to discreetly use learning center funds for the benefit of the RV industry and its customers,” said Jim Fogdall. “Proper training enhances the quality of the RV lifestyle for both the providers and the RV owners.  The better the training the better the quality of the total RV experience.”

“The Fogdalls’ leadership in the industry certainly didn’t come to an end when they sold their dealership,” said Pastore. “This gift shows not only their continuing commitment to our industry, but also their generosity and vision. I applaud and thank them on behalf of all dealers. It’s definitely an inspirational gesture and certainly a fitting way to honor two individuals so important to our organization.”

The RV Learning Center is dedicated to providing dealers and their employees with innovative ways to operate RV dealerships through an array of education resources including publications, distance learning, live workshops, online products, training, and certification programs for RV dealership personnel.

Contributions may be tax deductible as charitable donations.
