MADISON, Wis. — Marketing and media professionals at Flexsteel will be implementing Widen Media Collective digital asset management (DAM) software, the company announced today. The Iowa-based company is the latest of about 220 organizations that trust Widen to meet their DAM system needs.
Widen will also be providing Flexsteel with color correction services.
“Our current DAM and color correction provider had changed their business model and we decided to actively look for a replacement to better serve our needs,” said Justin Mills, Flexsteel’s Director of Advertising and PR. “After much research, we landed on Widen.”
“By bringing Widen into their workflows in both DAM and premedia, Flexsteel will be able to move new digital assets into color production and back to DAM effortlessly — without endless phone calls and emails. This new service will simplify processes for their internal and external creative teams,” said Brian Becker, Widen’s vice president of client development.
One of the reasons Widen customers have so much faith in the organization is its longevity, said Becker. Since 1948, Widen’s service offering have evolved to adjust to — and often set — industry trends. No DAM software provider has been around as long.
“We like to work with organizations we can relate to. Finding some common ground means there’s a foundation for a partnership beyond just an exchange of software, services and money. Flexsteel was founded back in 1893; you don’t stick around that long without a culture of openness, creativity and innovation. We know what that’s about and look forward to bringing another like-minded company into the Widen community,” said Widen CEO Matthew Gonnering.
Throughout the process of working with Widen to determine whether Media Collective digital asset management was a fit, the people at Flexsteel got a taste for what it’s like to have a partnership with the Wisconsin-based DAM provider, said Mills.
“We want a personal connection and Widen provided just that. We asked for an in-person demo and meeting. We like to know who we are doing business with. We did mock color correction tasks and Widen passed with flying colors (no pun intended)! We also loved the demos of the DAM site and how easy it was to use. The process was simple the entire way and we certainly appreciated that,” said Mills.
