Elkhart Co. spends $50,000 on convention study

Elkhart Co. spends $50,000 on convention study

GOSHEN, Ind. — Elkhart County redevelopment officials hope to have a feasibility study for a possible convention center completed by early spring, the Elkhart Truth reported.

Laura Coyne, the county’s redevelopment coordinator, said the Elkhart County Redevelopment Commission contracted with Chicago-based Johnson Consulting and Indianapolis-based Design Concepts in October to conduct the study.

The feasibility study should determine whether an event center could be self-sustaining by the private sector and, as well as the potential size of the facility, the paper explained.
