Cooper to launch National RV Training Academy

DALLAS — Mobile RV Academy and Workamper News today announced the launch of the National RV Training Academy at the location of their recently purchased campground outside of Dallas.

Since the closing of the RV Technician Training Program at Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas, back in 2011, there have not been any other live hands-on training facilities available for the RV industry except for two private schools in Florida, said Terry Cooper, the Texas RV Professor and founder of RV Mobile Academy.

“For the last five years, one of the key issues we have encountered as we have traveled across the United States conducting our RV maintenance training is finding a facility large enough to support our technical training that could also provide RV sites and cabins needed to house students that attended,” said Cooper, an RVDA/RVIA Master Certified Technician and professional trainer.

“Our Texas campground facility is capable of supporting our current programs, such as the RV Technician Apprenticeship Program for dealers; RV Maintenance Technician for Campgrounds; Mastering Your RV for RV consumers; Certified RV Inspector Program for the National RV Inspectors Association; and the Workamper Dreamer Program for those individuals that wish to learn how to live on the road as a workamper,” he explained. “However, we just need more space.

“The construction of the 9,000-square-foot National RV Training Academy facility is scheduled to take place later this summer, which will allow us to develop our Train the RV Trainer Program so we can expand our fixed location and mobile training opportunities,” said Cooper.

“We plan to continue traveling across the country as we have the past five years working with dealerships, conducting technical training for campground maintenance technicians, RV inspectors and RV consumers, but the National RV Training Academy in Texas will be the home campus we will prepare and launch our training teams,” he explained.

Cooper and Anderson will host a free webinar April 11 at 1 p.m. Central time for dealers, manufacturers and vendors to learn how they can benefit from the National RV Training Academy training programs.

“We plan to share photos of the campground and the new training facility as well give an overview of our vision to support the RV industry,” said Cooper. “We will share how dealers, manufacturers, suppliers and campground owners will benefit from the new training opportunities available at the Texas location.”

Cooper plans to offer affiliate opportunities for RV associations, equipment vendors and manufacturers to utilize the National RV Training Academy facilities to provide specialized training sessions.

Dealers and manufacturers can register for the free webinar by visitng attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/4591069457693336322.
